Here's a closeup of the shelves :)
You will find some great tutorials for awning card on you tube. It's surely worth a try.
There's one more thing that I wanted to share. My hubby's back from his US trip with a bag full of craft supplies. I had got all the stuff ordered at a friend's place during Chritsmas so got some really cool deals. Will share a pic of my new supplies soon :).

A circle flip up book card

Finally I made the circle flip up book card : ) Was planning to make one since I saw on Khushboo's blog. The only difficult part is decorating the panels. It has 4 panels + the top of the card and I had to think really hard. As it was my first attempt, I decided to go with a smaller size.

Panel 1

Panel 2

Panel 3

Panel 4
Thanks Khushboo for the inspiration!
And here's the supplies list -
1) Card stock - local
2) Blue PP - It's a navy blue card stock with white core. It is embossed using Cuttlebug -Swiss dots embossing folder and then sanded to reveal the white core.
3) The striped PP - DCWV stack 7
4) The die cut on top of the card - Cuttlebug Disney Combo Embossing & Die Set : CELEBRATIONS
5) The  die cuts on the inner panels -Cuttlebug Die 3X3 PARTY: CELEBRATIONS
6) Scallops - Spellbinders Die Set-Classic Scallop Circle Large

I am now going to let my cuttlebug rest for a while as the poor thing is tired especially with die cutting. Actually I hate seeing the mark ups on the B plates :(. So the next few cards with be stamping ones with some embossing (no die cutting).
I am submitting this to -
1) ICR challenge 9 - CELEBRATIONS+ NO RUBBER/DIGI STAMPING EXCEPT FOR SENTIMENT!!!
2) Simon Says stamp - MULTIFOLD CARDS/CREATIONS

GDT for ICRC5!

Hello!
Last week has been very hectic with loads of work in office. And hence the delay in posting my latest card which I designed for ICRC5. My card for ICRC3 made it to top 3 and I was choosen as he guest DT :) and this is the second time that I won ICR.
The theme for ICRC5 is "Interpret the word RAIN and decorate the inside of the card or the envelope".
When Tejal informed me the theme, I thought of raining hearts. But didn't find a good digi with a couple so dropped the idea. Next I thought of raining butterflies, but last minute I got loads of work in office leaving me with just 4-5 hours to complete my "RAIN" task. So I decided to go for raining cupcakes/goodies. I had a DP which went well with the theme. I had also bought some cupcake borders from Kavitha. So had enough things to go well with the theme.
And here's my card-
It's raining goodies - coz it's ur b'day!

Inside of card
I was still in the doodling mood :) so doodled the gifts, cupcakes and ballons and colored them with staedler water color pencils. Later I coatedd them and the digital cupcake with "Glue n Gloass". Honestly, I am not so happy with this card and I think I could have done better...but anyway, there's always a next time :).

Isn't this a challenging challenge? So what are you waiting for? Join the fun at ICR and get drenched in the RAINY challenge!

My inspiration for CraftyJC Challenge 7!

Hey friends! How are you doing? Today I have a terrific news for you. CraftyJC Challenge is back with a bang and has "itsy bitsy" sponsoring the challenge for next 6 months. Well ..this isn 't it...there's one more news...there are going to be not one but 2 prizes worth Rs.1300 each..Isn't it awesome?

And this post is special too because it's a DT card for CraftyJC challenge 7.
I got this lovely opportunity of being a guest DT on winning CraftyJC challenge 6.
The theme for this challenge is Digi or Doodle. You can either use something Digital OR if you can hand-draw or doodle on your entry. Interesting! Isn't it?

When Jaya first informed me about this month's theme, I was super excited. I had loads of ideas in my head. I love doodling and the notepad that I carry for meetings is full of doodles :)

In this card, everything is hand-drawn / doodled on white card stock.
closed card
No stamps, digi images or pattern papers are used.
Open card
I have used colour gel pens for drawing and staedtler water colour pencils for colouring.
Happy - detailed view
The doodled gifts, candies, cakes etc. are cut and stuck with a foam 2 way tape to give a pop up effect.
Birthday - detailed view
I hope you liked it and are inspired to try out some doodling. Do play along and join the fun! See you at CraftyJC challenge 7.

2 more Birthday cards!

Hello!
I have 2 more Birthday cards today. I had made these long back for 2 of my friends & colleagues but didn't upload as I had not given it to them. I am still experimenting with pattern papers and stamping. Hoping that one day I would master it like my fellow bloggers :)

In the card below, I have used inkadinkado clear stamps which I had purchased from the crafting queen store. The butterfly is then clear embossed. I used the technique mentioned on Tejal's blog for colouring the butterfly.

 More cards to follow :)

My first ever stamped image card!

Hey All,
Today I have a new card, my very first attempt with stamped image. Earlier I had tried with digis. I didn't have good stamps and ink pads. It's very difficult to get these supplies in India and that too in Hyderabad. But Thanks to Karuna's Crafting Queen Store. I got loads of clear stamps and ink pads from here and you'll see my creations using them soon.
She has very good variety of craft goodies and runs many offers. Surely check her store out if you haven't already!

And here's my card. I gifted it to my friend who's my colleague too on her birthday. She loved it so much that she kept it in her cubicle for display :)
The image is inkadinkado clear stamp, stamped with blue ink and clear embossed.
I will be back soon with my other cards :)
Happy Stamping!
