You are Special!

I have a "You are special!" card today.
I started with this card for participating in Kavitha's inspirational challenge. But as I continued, I figured that the colors I am using are apt for the "Dhin Chak dhin" challenge at ICR. So this card will go to both the challenges.

I got inspiration from Tejal's this card. I simply love her cards especially the CAS ones.
Thank you Tejal for this wonderful inspiration!
And here's my card-

And here's a closer view at the "Special butterfly".

The black butterflies are stamped on parchment paper using black creativ ink and then clear embossed. The silver butterfly is stamped using creative glue pad and then embossed with silver embossing powder from Ranger. Yellow paper has tiny stars embossed and is form making memories.
Finally I am using things from my stash :). The dark blue pp with golden dot is from Paper Mania. Cardstock is local and flowers are quilled :)

Only Embossing!!

Finally I am done with my embossing only card! I had promised Karuna that I would be participating in her challenge..and with the frequent travelling and hectic work load, feared that I would miss the deadline. But I am happy I could make it...what if it's just few hours before the challenge closes :)
So here's my card using only heat embossing...
It was difficult taking a picture as everything is embossed and it gives a glossy finish. So I have some more pics with the close ups.
Sentiment
The sentiment is a MICIA stamp, stamped using Creativ glue pad and heat embossed using Silver Embossing powder.
Butterfly
The butterfly is also a MICIA stamp, stamped using Creativ glue pad and heat embossed using Golden Embossing powder.

Flowers
The flowers and stems are MICIA stamps, stamped using Creativ inks and heat embossed using clear Embossing powder.
Hopefully I will be back with some more posts over the weekend :)

Sk8er boy!!

Hi there! Just a quick post as I didn't want to miss the deadline for the Designed 2 Delight image challege. So here's my sk8er boy!
It is a simple card..but I am sure you'll agree that designing masculine cards is difficult. And this is my first attempt at masculine cards.  Next time I'll come up with something better!

Look What I have got :)

Hey all,

I wanted to post this since long..but was being lazy.
I won the punch rose challenge by Anita and here is the picture of the RAK which she sent me.

Thank you so much Anita. I loved every bit in it! I am a big fan of her punch craft and always wanted to see her work in real and with this prize, I got to see her punches flowers.

And here is a Swap I received from Deepti as a part of ICR May swaps.
Aren't the DPs lovely? It's a perfect mix of patterns and colours. And the accompanying quilled card is fab too. It's made from Hand cut handmade paper and using back side of paint brush as quilling tool.

I also wanted to tell you about my win at the Kalalayaa' coloring challenge. My mother's day card made it to the top 3 :)

See you soon!

Pail of flowers

This is my second post of the day and it is for the Delightful inspitaion image challenge.
It is a simple card using free stamp for the month of may at delightful inspiration. I didn't want to miss the deadline and made it just few hours befire closing.
Here's my card -
The image is coloured using colour pencils. As I am in at my mom's place for few days, I didn't have my craft supplies and had to make do with whatever I had.

Mother's day card!

Hello Peeps!  I am a little late in posting this Mother's Day card but just in time to make it for the IRC challenge and Kavitha's colouring challenge. Ever since I saw Kavitha's colouring tutorial, I wanted to give it a try.

The picture is not so good, but this is what I managed to get before I gifted it to my mother in law.
It's a side stepper card. Digi image is from Anne's blog. Surely check it out. It has some awesome free digital images. The sentiment is made in MS Word. The flower stamps are MICIA bought from Crafting Queen's store.
And the digi image is coloured using steadler water colour pencils.
I have one more card ready..so see you soon!
