Monarch Butterfly

Here is the picture of my latest quilling work - the monarch butterfly.
It took more than a week to finish it. 1-2 hours a day. This makes my 4th big butterfly.

I want to make a monarch butterfly for an invitation project that I am working on. I was wondering what process you took to make this one? Did you use a photo, or a pattern?
