Happy New Year!!

Hello!!
It has been a great crafty year..with so many new blogger friends, 41 posts from a "posting lazy" person like me :D, loads of shopping and new techniques learnt and my new craft supplies shop (Right now limited to quilling stuff..).
This is the last post of the year..but a long one...as I am going to share 4 new projects :)

Here's a quick card I made this morning for a dear friend...(I am not going to mention her name as it is not yet sent to her :D)

Supplies: Hero arts Wild flower Garden,Ranger Archival ink jet black, Distress inks : Tumbled glass, shabby shutters, Peeled paint, Spellbinder Classic scallop circle large, making memories brad butterfly, CS - Fabriano

Next is the punched flowers card. It was lying incomplete for a long time. Finally completed it yesterday.
And here's the close up of punched flowers -
I am feeling very lazy to write the supplies. So please message me if you wnat to know about anythig :)
The white blank circle will host the sentiment. I will add it when I plan to give it to someone based on occasion.
Yesterday, I also tried my hands at fabric flowers.

As red is the colour of love, I am submitting it at Kalindi's Unconditional Love challenge.

And now the last card. This is for all my lovely blogger friends.
I have used my scraps for this card and the flower is handmade, the one which I learnt at Laura's class.

Have a wonderful new year full of happiness, love and prosperity :) and thank you for all your support, encouragement and help during 2011.

..had a very shiny nose!

This post is in continuation with my earlier one..Rudolf, the red nose reindeer..and so is the heading.
Here is the second card I made using the pie lane Rudolf sticker -
Supplies - Rudolf sticker - pie lane, pie lane Pixie dust, pie lane glitter balls, Gems from stash, star and sentiment bought locally in Singapore.
To make the christmas tree, I cut a triangle and drew flourishes with pencil. Then I loaded it with white pixie dust. With the white pixie dust, you can see the pencil flourishes beneath. Then I picked pie lane glitter ball one by one and stuck them on the flourishes..Phew!! That was tedious..but worth it :). The picture doesn't do justice..This card..rather all glittery cards look much better in person. But still...here's a close up -

Now you can imagine..how obsessed I am with glitter ..and how glittery my craft table must be :D.
Submitting this to Pielane - glittery basics

Rudolf, the red nose reindeer...

Hello! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas :)..I had a nice peaceful weekend after a long time and I managed to make 2 cards. Here's one specially for the pie lane challenge -
Supplies - Rudolf sticker - pie lane, pie lane Pixie dust, Gems from stash, stars and sentiment bought locally in Singapore.

Isn't the rudolf sticker cute? The sticker pack from pielane has 3 cute reindeers..
The Christmas tree is hand drawn and then loaded with pixie dust. Honestly, I wasn't into glitter much..I had gold and silver MS glitter since 3 years ..but hardly used it...Then when I saw the various shades that come in the pielane pixie dust box, I got obsessed :). Special thanks to Tejal for the wonderful pixie dust tutorial. Your tutorials rock!
And Here's a close up of the tree-
Submitting this to Pielane - glittery basics.
Will be back with another rudolf card soon!

Merry Christmas!!

Here's a Christmas card..made keeping 2 challenges in mind. Pielane - glittery basics and ICRC13 - Christmas card with non traditional colours.
Details : The main image is a free digi coloured using Steadler water colour pencils and then selectively loaded with pielane pixie dust. The outer dark blue paper is originally a white one...again overloaded with fine pielane pixie dust. The sentiment is a sticker.

Some more glittery cards to follow...until I overcome my new obsession with pixie dust :)

Distressed - Part 2

Here comes another disress inked card -

Supplies:
Distress inks : Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed
Stamps : Hero arts Wild flower garden
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink Pad JET BLACK

It's very simple and easy and it just took me 15 mins to make this card...Earlier I was not getting the distressing right as I didn't have a blending tool and was using a sponge. But now I made my own belnding tool and it works wonders. I had a wooden stamp handle. I attached a piece of foam (The one which u get in packings) using a two way tape. And voila! The blending tool is ready. You can change the foam for using different colours or when if gets worned out.

I am submitting this card to following challenge -
CraftyJC Challenge #10: Simplicity

A circle flip up book card

Finally I made the circle flip up book card : ) Was planning to make one since I saw on Khushboo's blog. The only difficult part is decorating the panels. It has 4 panels + the top of the card and I had to think really hard. As it was my first attempt, I decided to go with a smaller size.
Top

Panel 1

Panel 2

Panel 3

Panel 4
Thanks Khushboo for the inspiration!
And here's the supplies list -
1) Card stock - local
2) Blue PP - It's a navy blue card stock with white core. It is embossed using Cuttlebug -Swiss dots embossing folder and then sanded to reveal the white core.
3) The striped PP - DCWV stack 7
4) The die cut on top of the card - Cuttlebug Disney Combo Embossing & Die Set : CELEBRATIONS
5) The  die cuts on the inner panels -Cuttlebug Die 3X3 PARTY: CELEBRATIONS

Martha Stewart garden trellis punch, Ribbon and CS - local, dark pink pp is from best occasions scrapbook kit, flourishes from Sizzlits Decorative Flourishes Set , Sentiment is cut from Provocraft Curls and Swirls alphabet set.

I have an extra set of "Provocraft Curls and Swirls alphabet set" for sale (brand new and unopened) for 1000 Rs. (excluding shipping).  Let me know if you are are interested. You can view the details of this wonderful die set at -

I am submitting the above card at -
ICR challenge 9 - CELEBRATIONS+ NO RUBBER/DIGI STAMPING EXCEPT FOR SENTIMENT!!!

I am on a roll this weekend..and to add to it the issues with my rotary trimmer are sorted. Since few days I was a little upset with the trimmer not cutting properly. I thought that the blade had worn off and I was feeling totally handicapped. Then I read Tejal's post on Paper Trimmers and found "Again, the track in which the blade runs, might need replacing once a year …again depending on your usage"
And it struck me to check the track and found that it was the culprit. I removed it and flipped it over and now the trimmer is cutting perfectly. Thanks so much Tejal!

So keep watching for some more cards :)

Hand made Rakhis

Hey All,

Had been a little lazy in posting. Since Last 2 weeks, I had been quilling some Rakhis :). Actually I wanted to send Rakhis to my cousins in US. My hubby was going to take it along and post it in US itself. The rakhi stalls were not up yet. So I quilled rakhis and sent them. I liked the way they turned up and qulled some more :) And here are the pics.

Hope you like them :).
My hubby's back now with loads of my craft goodies. One is the cuttlebug :) So would be soon experimenting with the cuttlebug... Gosh..Looks like my craft budget for the entire year is over ..but no regrets :D

Baby girl Album!

WARNING : Loads of pictures
Hi All,
I have been MIA since almost a month..and that's because something was cooking in the background. I had been working on a baby girl album.. and finally it's complete..It's my first attempt and hence it took so long.. It's meant for an adorable baby "Saachi" - a friend's baby girl who stays in US. My husband was to leave for US yesterday and was going to take the album along. So just finished it some 4 hours before he left for the airport and managed to take some pictures and a video :)
Here are photos of the pages from the album -

And here's the video -

I don't possess any MS or other border punches..nor I have cuttlebug..but I had bought some border cutouts and embossed papers from Kavitha's store. So I could use them. I have also used emblishments(ribbons, buttons and die cuts) from A1 craft supplies store. The stamps are from Karuna's store.

Comments awaited :)
*Update* - I added photos of all the pages :)

So, here's my card-
I will put up some better pictures tomorrow with proper lights.
In this card, I have done a lot of cutting as I don't own any die cutting tools. The window is handcut after tracing with label die cuts which I had bought from Kavitha. The butterflies are stamped, embossed and then cut. The flourishes are also hand-drawn and cut.The flowers are handmade. The centers of the 2 big cards are made using glitter balls from pie lane. The outer window is sprinkled with pink glittler from pie lane..and the butterfly trails in center are heart sequences..again from pie lane.
I will update this post with detailed pictures. Till then..Happy Crafting :)

GDT for ICRC5!

Hello!
Last week has been very hectic with loads of work in office. And hence the delay in posting my latest card which I designed for ICRC5. My card for ICRC3 made it to top 3 and I was choosen as he guest DT :) and this is the second time that I won ICR.
The theme for ICRC5 is "Interpret the word RAIN and decorate the inside of the card or the envelope".
When Tejal informed me the theme, I thought of raining hearts. But didn't find a good digi with a couple so dropped the idea. Next I thought of raining butterflies, but last minute I got loads of work in office leaving me with just 4-5 hours to complete my "RAIN" task. So I decided to go for raining cupcakes/goodies. I had a DP which went well with the theme. I had also bought some cupcake borders from Kavitha. So had enough things to go well with the theme.
And here's my card-
It's raining goodies - coz it's ur b'day!

Inside of card
I was still in the doodling mood :) so doodled the gifts, cupcakes and ballons and colored them with staedler water color pencils. Later I coatedd them and the digital cupcake with "Glue n Gloass". Honestly, I am not so happy with this card and I think I could have done better...but anyway, there's always a next time :).

Isn't this a challenging challenge? So what are you waiting for? Join the fun at ICR and get drenched in the RAINY challenge!
