Neat & Tangled Throwdown - Pirate Party!!

Hello Mateys!

How are you doing? I was on a crafting break after the huge crafting marathon for Winnie and Walter's 4th birthday bash challenges. And now I am back with another BIG project for the Neat and Tangled throwdown  - Party Ensemble Challenge.

For this challenge I decided to go with the pirate party theme. I had the Neat and Tangled stamp set - Yo ho ho which I was hoarding for long and thought this was a perfect time to put it to use.
Yo Ho Ho

So here are all the things I made -

And before I go on with the details, let me warn you. This is going to be a big post with loads of pictures.

1) Party Invite:
The first thing I made for this challenge was a treasure map party invite. I tore the edges of paper  and gave it a old look using distress inks. Then I stamped some images and sentiments in black ink. Then I added some highlights using white and black gel pen and some coloring with brown copic markers.

2) Straw Embellishments:

3) Food Tents:
Do look out for the pirate food names in the  pics below :)

And here is some delicious pirate food -

4) Cupcake toppers:
A party wouldn't be complete without cupcake toppers. So here are some -

4) Cupcake Liners: When I was about to do the setup for taking pictures, 2 hours short of the challenge deadline, I realized that the cupcake liners were pink and didn't go well with the pirate theme. Hence I quickly created 2 cupcake liners on kraft paper by stamping the parrot and ship stamps in brown ink. I highlighted part of the images with white gel pen and outlined the skull on flag with black pen.

5) Boat Sails as Fruit toppers:
I wanted to make boats out of melon pieces. So I made some Sail toppers. I added the parrot and the cat with binoculars on them.

And here are the pirate ships -

6) Water bottle and juice bottle labels:
For the water bottle labels, I created a "treasure Map" background with white gel pen.

7) Favor boxes and tags:
Finally I created the favor boxes with a port hole-

And here is another pic of everything together - ARRRRR... Enjoy the Party!

I hope you liked it all. I had loads of fun creating it. But I am disappointed with he photography as I hardly had a couple of hours before the challenge closed to take and edit good pictures. Hope I take this as a lesson and improve upon the timeline next time.

Love,
Piyu
