Best Wishes

Today's card is based on Piali's sketch below for ICRC10 -
And here's my card -

It's the first time I used fabric on my cards and quite happy with the outcome. The yellow lace and the fabric cutwork patch is from my mom's stash. The sentiment is a peel off sticker. The red dotted pp is DCWV stack 7, the bottom pp is from paper mania. The doily is from Shruti. Thanks girl! I need some more :).
And now the show stopper of this card - the handmade flower. It is made using handmade paper using pielane glitter balls at center. I learnt this from Laura. Thanks Laura for the wonderful classes!
I will be uploading pictures of other flowers that I learnt in her class in my next post.

Submitting this at - ICRC10 - Sketch + use fabric/felt

And one good news! This card of mine made it to top 3 at the ICRC9 challenge. This is the third time I made it to ICRC top 3 :)

A circle flip up book card

Finally I made the circle flip up book card : ) Was planning to make one since I saw on Khushboo's blog. The only difficult part is decorating the panels. It has 4 panels + the top of the card and I had to think really hard. As it was my first attempt, I decided to go with a smaller size.

Panel 1

Panel 2

Panel 3

Panel 4
Thanks Khushboo for the inspiration!
And here's the supplies list -
1) Card stock - local
2) Blue PP - It's a navy blue card stock with white core. It is embossed using Cuttlebug -Swiss dots embossing folder and then sanded to reveal the white core.
3) The striped PP - DCWV stack 7
4) The die cut on top of the card - Cuttlebug Disney Combo Embossing & Die Set : CELEBRATIONS
5) The  die cuts on the inner panels -Cuttlebug Die 3X3 PARTY: CELEBRATIONS
6) Scallops - Spellbinders Die Set-Classic Scallop Circle Large

I am now going to let my cuttlebug rest for a while as the poor thing is tired especially with die cutting. Actually I hate seeing the mark ups on the B plates :(. So the next few cards with be stamping ones with some embossing (no die cutting).

I am on a roll this weekend..and to add to it the issues with my rotary trimmer are sorted. Since few days I was a little upset with the trimmer not cutting properly. I thought that the blade had worn off and I was feeling totally handicapped. Then I read Tejal's post on Paper Trimmers and found "Again, the track in which the blade runs, might need replacing once a year …again depending on your usage"
And it struck me to check the track and found that it was the culprit. I removed it and flipped it over and now the trimmer is cutting perfectly. Thanks so much Tejal!

So keep watching for some more cards :)

My First...

Posting a card that I made few days back. I had not posted it earlier as it was yet to reach the recipient.
It's an Easel card -

This is my first card using cuttlebug, Penny black stamp and distress ink. I wanted to add some more punched flower emblishments, but as I sending the card with post, I was not sure if it would reach properly. Please let me know if you know any tips for posting such cards.
